Washington Twp. Library Hosting Jack McKenzie Art Exhibit

The Paramus-based artist will display his work in Washington Township during August.

Paramus-based artist Jack McKenzie will be exhibiting his work at the during August.

McKenzie, a member of the Pascack Valley Art Association, paints landscapes with buildings or other features that draw his eye. Some common themes of McKenzie's work include lighthouses and covered bridges. He works with oil paint on canvas.

McKenzie has painted since 1990, when he began to teach himself after watching Bob Ross on PBS. He said he was inspiried by some creative families members who also paint and play music.

He has previously exhibited in Paramus, Franklin Lakes, Bergenfield, Cresskill and Secaucus.

McKenzie also maintains a blog where some of his work is featured. He has numerous links to websites where prints or merchandise with his work can be purchased.
