Seven Injured in Pascack Road Crash
A Truck and SUV collided on the corner of Pascack Road and Linwood Avenue East this morning.
Seven people, five of them children, were injured in a collision between a truck and an SUV at the intersection of Pascack Road and Linwood Avenue East on the border of Washington Township and Paramus this morning, according to Paramus Police Capt. Brian Goggin.
The truck was driving south on Pascack Road when the SUV made a turn from Linwood Avenue and they collided, Goggin said.
Firefighters removed two doors from the SUV to free a person trapped inside.
The driver of the truck, a 44-year-old Garfield man was transported to Hackensack UMC with three others. The driver of the SUV, a 69-year-old Closter woman, and two others were transported to the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Goggin said he believed there were only "minor injuries."
Paramus police, rescue, and volunteer ambulance corps responded to the scene as well as firefighters and EMTs from Washington Township.
The driver of the SUV was issued a summons for careless driving. If found guilty, she will be fined and issued points against her license.
