Presentation About District Bullying Policy on School Board Agenda
The guidance director is slated to speak about the issue Thursday
Members of the Westwood Regional Board of Education and the public are expected to hear a presentation from the guidance director Thursday night regarding harassment, intimidation and bullying.
The district had to implement policies based on new anti-bullying legislation that went into effect at the beginning of the school year. There is now greater emphasis on investigating all allegations of bullying. Guidance Director Joan Mei serves as the point person for the anti-bullying issue and will be talking about it Thursday.
Also on the agenda are several recognitions for good works, including students of the month for September.
The school board meeting is scheduled to begin Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Hurley Theatre of Westwood Jr./Sr. High School, 701 Ridgewood Road, Washington Township.
