New Westwood CVS Opening in January

CVS will be relocating their Westwood store to the new building on the corner of Broadway and Jefferson Avenue.

CVS is on schedule to open their new Westwood store in late January, according to company rep Mike DeAngelis.

The new store was recently built on the corner of Broadway and Jefferson at the site of the former Seville Diner. It will be replacing their current location on Westwood Avenue. The new store will be larger than the current 8,000-square-foot store and feature a drive-thru for prescription pick-ups.

The plan was approved by the Westwood Zoning Board in 2010 and some additional variances were given for signs last year.

A plan for another new CVS in Washington Township is still being heard by the town's zoning board.

New store, same dense staff. Hopefully CVS will paint arrows on the sidewalk so they can find their way to Jefferson.

This is a step forward for the borough unlike other surrounding towns who are mired in debates every time an improvement or new venture is proposed.

Obviously they scoured Westwood for the greatest examples of architecture to mirror and found it at A&P Liquors
