Hillsdale won the Gold Level and the Most Consistent Performance awards at the Bergen County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund Annual Safety Incentive Awards and Safety Kickoff Meeting held at Seasons Restaurant in Washington Township March 12.

Borough Administrator Jonathan DeJoseph expressed appreciation and thanks to the Hillsdale employees for performing their jobs in a safety-conscious manner.

The JIF (Joint Insurance Fund) was formed by the Pascack Valley Mayor's Association in the 1980s to provide insurance coverage on a self-insured basis to obtain competitive costs for liability and Workman's Compensation coverage. The concept has spread now throughout the state.
