Enjoy the Summer with Cool Treats and Activities

There are many fun ways to cool off in Westwood, Washington Township and Hillsdale.

With a forecasted high temperature of 100 degrees today and temperatures expected to stay in the 80s during the week, it's a good time for some cold treats and fun activities out of the heat.

For ice cream and frozen yogurt, homemade ice cream has been a local favorite for decades. Washington Township's is also a popular choice with a wide variety of flavors and other treats. in Westwood also offers an unusual, but tasty, mix of flavors and toppings. Hillsdale's offers both ice cream and frozen yogurt, among other treats. , which opened in Westwood earlier this year, offers 24 flavors of frozen yogurt and 75 different toppings. has also been a popular choice for frozen yogurt in Westwood for more than 10 years.

If you prefer a day at the pool, Westwood, Washington Township and Hillsdale all are home to swim clubs. The , in Westwood, is this year. The and Stonybrook Swim Club in Hillsdale also have been popular choices for years. Membership at all three clubs is open to residents of any town.
