New Treatments for Rheumatoid Arthritis Advocated at Old Hook Medical

Old Hook Medical Associates in Emerson believe new medications and therapy regimes can help patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis, according to a news release.

“Recently published clinical outcome studies have shown that there are excellent treatments including oral triple therapy regimens that can induce remission within 4-6 months. The new Biologic medications, given intravenously or subcutaneously, are truly miracle drugs for relieving pain and swelling. They can work for patients in as little as one to two weeks,” Steven Rosner, a Board Certified Rheumatologist at Old Hook Medical Associates, said in the release.

imAlthough the disease varies from person to person, people who are affected can cope with a combination of medicine and assistive devices, such as wrist braces, the release said.
